How It Works

Step 1 — Fill in your details. Enter your name or company, contact info, and address. Optionally upload your company logo (stored only in your browser).
Step 2 — Add line items. Enter a description, quantity, and rate for each service or product. The amount calculates automatically. Add as many items as needed.
Step 3 — Set invoice details. Assign an invoice number (auto-incremented from history), issue and due dates, currency, tax/VAT rate, and any discount.
Step 4 — Preview and download. Click "Preview Invoice" to review the formatted document, then "Download PDF" to open the print dialog and save as PDF.
History. Click "Save to History" to store the invoice in your browser's localStorage. Load any past invoice to reuse or print it again. All data stays on your device.

Invoice Best Practices

  • Use a consistent numbering format, e.g. INV-2024-001
  • Include clear payment terms and accepted payment methods
  • Specify a due date to reduce late payments
  • Itemize every deliverable; avoid vague line descriptions
  • Apply a late fee clause to encourage prompt payment

Common Tax & Discount Tips

  • Tax is applied after the discount is deducted
  • VAT / GST labels differ by country; customize the Tax Label field
  • Volume discounts can be added as a negative line item
  • Always show the tax amount separately for compliance
  • Keep copies of sent invoices for accounting records
